Creative Front Cambridgeshire

Cambridge has long been regarded as the home of innovation and creative thinking but our creative industries have often been overshadowed by hi-tech, biosciences and life sciences, and the role that creativity plays in innovation taken for granted. Creative Front’s key remit is to address this issue and provide a focus for the rich depth and strength of the world-class creative businesses in the region and promote the critical role they play in design and innovation.

We have worked to establish a business network and our members are connected by a shared desire to see Cambridgeshire's creative industries thrive. In the last year, Creative Front has supported 30 creative industry specific events run by special interest groups focussed on sub-sectors such as publishing, video games, fashion, audio-visual, industrial and product design. These are exciting times and it is vital that the sector works collectively to gain the essential recognition of the creative talent here in Cambridgeshire.

Recognised by NESTA as being one of the UK's top ten creative hotspots, Cambridgeshire also has a very rich and diverse cultural offering across most art forms and disciplines. We know that it’s the city’s blend of heritage, art, culture, and design alongside technology and innovation that fosters an ideas-rich environment to start or grow a creative enterprise. It is with this knowledge and good working relationships with our VIVID partners, we will work to support, advise and connect creative and visual design entrepreneurs and businesses in our region and across the VIVID network.
