The HouseĀ of Visual Culture is first and foremost a connecting organization: connecting public to artists and linking young creatives to top level visual design masters. It aims to inspire those in the know of what visual culture is to become, inform the public of it's many facets that surround and dominate our everyday existence, and clarify the need for quality visual design for both the ever visually bombarded consumer as well as the professional of tomorrow, designing for an increasingly global audience.

HOUSE OF VISUAL CULTURE AND VIVID

In 2012 the House of Visual Culture will team up with the renowned Graphic Design Festival Breda and BredaPhoto to bring what will be the first edition of a future International Festival for Visual Culture showcasing the full scope of contemporary visual culture in graphic design, photography, film, motion design and any interdisciplinary combination imaginable. The festival will focus on:
  • Showcasing the blend of renowned professionals and young visual artists, connected by their trade.
  • The possibilities of visual design to transcend globalization's future challenges.
  • The uniting qualities of visual culture as cemented in a collective frame of reference.
Additionally, cultural, industrial and educational organizations collaborating on innovative product development will find marketing support from the newly initiated Centre of Expertise on Visual Culture.
